The programme consisted of a morning session of presentations, an early afternoon workshop and a later afternoon showcase. During the morning session, chaired by Ceri Thomas (Regional Collaboration Fund Manager - Welsh Government), the delegates got the chance through a series of presentations to discover how media can be used to support change and good practice. The early afternoon session, opened by Karen Lewis (Co Director, George Ewart Evans Centre for Storytelling- University of South Wales), discussed the power of storytelling and engaged participants in two 30 minute workshops about story capturing on film and convincing stories for inspiring change. During the late afternoon session six recently-funded projects from the Creative Exchange Wales Network programme presented their progress to a panel of BBC (Ian Tweedale), Welsh Local Government Association (Clover Rodrigues) and Crowdfunding experts (Elio Assuncao) looking for innovative practice and advice on how to make their work more effective.
Clover Rodrigues (Welsh Local Government Association) said “Full, diverse, interesting day – really enjoyable”
